Food Services and Cafeteria
After your diet is ordered by your physician, a food service representative will visit to discuss individual food preferences.
Meals are served three times daily:
- Breakfast: 7:15 - 8 a.m.
- Lunch: 12:15 - 1 p.m
- Dinner: 5:15 - 6 p.m.
If you have missed a meal, your nurse may request a late tray for you. Guest trays are available at meal times in the patient’s room. Please contact the nurse or call extension 5467 to request a guest tray. Requests must be made by 10 a.m. for lunch and 3 p.m. for dinner and for breakfast the following morning.
Berryhill Bistro, Santa Rosa Medical Center's cafeteria, is located on the ground floor on the west side of the hospital near the main elevators. As a convenience, the vending area is available 24 hours a day and is located next to the cafeteria.
Guide Dogs/Service Animals
The use of guide dogs and service animals are permitted in the hospital as needed. However, Santa Rosa Medical Center encourages service animals to be left at home whenever possible.
Interpreters
Patients and visitors with communication barriers (hearing, speech or foreign language) will be provided with a qualified interpreter. Methodologies include the following: sign language and/or oral interpreter, lip reading, handwritten notes, supplemental hearing devices, foreign language interpretation or any combination of the above. Telephones for the hearing impaired are available. Please contact your nurse for assistance.
Pastoral Services
Santa Rosa Medical Center recognizes the importance of a patient’s spiritual and emotional well being. There is a chaplain on call 24 hours a day. To request pastoral care, contact your nurse or the director of volunteer services at (850) 626-5113.
Telephone Services
To dial from an outside line directly to a patient’s room, dial 626-5 plus the three-digit room number.
Telephones for the hearing impaired are available upon request. The use of cellular/digital phones is not permitted in certain areas. There will be signs indicating these areas (critical care unit, emergency department, etc.) This is due to the technical equipment that is being used in these units.
Wireless Internet
Santa Rosa Medical Center is equipped with free wireless Internet, allowing you to connect to email and the Internet with a laptop computer.
Connect to "SRMCFL-Public-Internet" and follow the on-screen prompts to gain access to the Internet.
Visitors, patients, parents or legal guardians are solely responsible for deciding which Internet resources are appropriate for their children. Santa Rosa Medical Center will not filter or monitor anyone's use of the Internet. Santa Rosa Medical Center assumes no responsibility for any damages, direct or indirect, loss of data, or loss of privacy, arising from the use of the Internet resources. Files downloaded from the Internet may contain viruses and you need to have virus-checking software on your computer.
