"I am very excited to join Santa Rosa Medical Center. I understand the evolving landscape of nursing and am committed to supporting and empowering our nurses, recognizing their incredible contributions, and fostering an environment that promotes growth, well-being, and excellence in nursing practice,” shared Jones. “Together, we will continue to elevate the standard of care at Santa Rosa Medical Center, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality and compassionate healthcare they deserve."
Before her appointment at SRMC, Jones served as the chief nursing officer at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, GA. Her journey in the nursing profession began as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), and through dedication and hard work, steadily progressed to a nursing administrator over several decades. Jones' unwavering dedication to patient welfare has been a driving force throughout her career.
“Having started my nursing career as an LPN, I understand the challenges and triumphs that nurses face. I have personally experienced the dedication, compassion, and tireless effort that goes into providing exceptional patient care,” explained Jones. “I believe that one of the greatest gifts we have in health care is being present with other humans in need of support, whether clinical help or compassion for whatever they may be experiencing. It takes the whole team to make that happen."
Justin Serrano, SRMC’s chief executive officer, expressed his confidence in Jones' ability to lead the nursing team effectively.
“Stephanie’s experience leading and directing nursing services for 231-bed and 310-bed facilities in Georgia will help SRMC grow to continue to meet the healthcare needs of Santa Rosa County,” Serrano stated. “We’re excited to have her join our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our staff.”
